Taking a Break

Hey guys. Just as I got started with the blogging, life happened. All Stars will be happening the next month and a half for my boys . . . yes both boys. I am the head coach for Noah's 8u All Star Team, and an assistant coach for Nate's 10u All Star Team. A friend of mine calls this madness, "PFT" (Pay For Torture) . . . and he maybe right. However, we are entering a very busy season . .. so I am taking a break from blogging. However, I will be back after this insane six weeks is up.  See you then!

Let the Blog Begin

Having experimented with blogging the last few months, I think I now have a feel for what type of blogging I want to do.  

I have hesitated to blog, simply because I don't care for the limelight and don't want ministry (or really anything) to be about me.  I really hate it when ministries are personality driven.  The celebrity preacher nauseates me.  One need not have "preacher-hair" to be annoying as a minister if the ministry is all about the preacher.  I have determined never to make my leadership or church to be all about me.  However, I am now compelled to begin blogging seriously and strategically in order to effectively lead, communicate and cast vision.  It is a great tool for leadership and ministry that I have been slow to embrace.  I now realize that not blogging is hurting my ability to influence people.  So, to maximize my influence I begin this blog.
